Community Resources

Following several articles in the village magazine all 80 flooded properties in Sedgeberrow received a questionnaire to complete regarding what help they might like should a flood happen again. Many properties responded back and requested help. All of these properties have now been visited personally by a member of the flood group to establish their specific needs and vulnerabilities and the information gathered has been stored electronically for use in an emergency. At the same time a request was also made to the village for flood volunteers and an overwhelming number of households have responded back with a range of skills and specific assistance they can offer. This includes :-

Help moving furniture 22
Help to install flood buddies 14
First Aid 5
Providing overnight accommodation 29
Providing meals 31
Access to 4x4 6
